My visit to Frankfurt, Germany in Feb'2008

It was my first official international travelling which I was informed around end of 2007. I was very excited about the visit. Here I will share my experiences of my Frankfurt visit with some excellent photos taken out there.
We three (Pankaj, Saurabh and me) reached from Mumbai (India) to Frankfurt via Dubai on 15th of Feb'08 (Friday). We stayed there at Hotel 'Mercury' as per the arrangement made in advance from office (Avaya-Pune). We had separate rooms for us...here comes the photo of my hotel room...

From Frankfurt Airport, we directly went to the Avaya, Frankfurt office and met with our colleagues. All of them were so friendly and helpful.

The next day, being Saturday, was a holiday and we went for roaming around the city. On that day, the temperature was about zero degree centigrade. We took some good snaps of the city under the absolutely clear sky.

Here is another photo of the Frankfurt city in the daylight...

Here is another one taken at night...

The next day (Sunday) we went to Main (pronounced as Myne) River, one of the main attractions of Frankfurt. It was so heavenly to be there on that day... took some good landscapes with the setting Sun...

Beside the river Main, we reached to Stadel, the museum of Paintings of some great Artists. Later I visited this place and it was a life time experience being there. One can not believe the value of this place without being there and seeing the collections (Paintings, Arts and Crafts).

The next week we had training at Darmstadt, 40 mins journey from Frankfurt. It was a training for our forthcoming project. This place was really cool. It was indeed a great experience having colleagues from Frankfurt and some other guys from Ascom, Sweden. We had interacted a lot during the training program. On the last day of the training, we had a dinner party at one of the well known restaurants at Darmstadt (with authentic French beers). We enjoyed a lot there !!!

In this photo, you can see (from left), Saurabh, Joachim (our trainer), Pankaj and Claus Moeller (our colleague from Avaya, Frankfurt).

During weekend (Saturday), I went to Frankfurt Zoo and it was one of the best I have ever seen. I saw some of the animals first time in my life there. It is my passion to photography that always helped me to see new things at new places.
This photo of the tiger taken out there is one of my best...

Here comes another photo which I really liked...(later I named this as "The Couple")...

In the afternoon, we went to Main Tower, the tallest building at Frankfurt. We went to the roof (probably 48th Floor), from where the view was amazing. One can see the entire city from this point...

The next day (Sunday), I went to 'Palmen Garten'. This is the place that I will never forget in my life time. It was so well maintained which, one can not believe without seeing or being there. I wish if I could upload the entire set of photos taken there...

Can you believe, this photo was taken without using flash ?

These yellow flowers were so nice to see...

The next week, we had work at Avaya, Frankfurt office, but I had to go to Dusseldorf for some project work. It was a nice experience to go there by Inter City Express (ICE Train). On the way, I got to see some eye catching landscapes.
On the way, I saw the famous 'Dome of Cologne'.

We celebrated our last Friday at Frankfurt with the famous apple wine of Frankfurt at a typical traditional bar of the city, with our colleagues. From left to right, Andreas (Krantzik), Saurabh, Wolfgang, Joachim (Rommel) and Pankaj. We enjoyed a lot there...

At the last weekend, we went for some shopping as we started our journey to India on Sunday evening.
There at Romerberg, I saw a women playing a typical musical instrument (I don't know the name). It was so nice to hear, I spent there almost half an hour...

It was overall a nice experience for me ! I wish, sometime I will go there with my family !!!
